Sangeeta Anil Mohite, a determined woman from a financially struggling family, found new hope when she received a goat through the Suzlon and Prerana Foundation’s Livelihood Support for Women program. She does not have her own farm, but her hard work and determination became her biggest strength. While her husband manages household expenses through farming jobs, Sangeeta cares for her elderly mother. Their daughter, a bright and intelligent student, continues her education with big dreams for the future.
With love and care, Sangeeta nurtured the goat, and soon it gave birth to two healthy kids. This moment was not just the birth of goat kids—it was the birth of a new beginning for her family. The joy of seeing her small goat farming business grow brought confidence, pride, and a sense of security.
The woman benefited from the goat giving birth to kids, earning at least ₹10,000. Her business will now continue. Due to this, her family has achieved financial stability. Goat milk has also become available at their home, and she will also earn income from it. Goat farming is a sustainable business—it is a business that never stops.
From selling goats and using goat milk, Sangeeta gained not just income but also dignity and strength. Today, she is not only a proud goat farmer but also a shining example of how women’s determination, when supported at the right time, can transform entire families.
