Manisha Shashikant Sonar was in a very difficult financial situation. She wanted to start a business, but lacked resources. Under the Women Empowerment Initiative, Suzlun Foundation and Prerana Foundation provided her with two iron racks, two chairs and a wooden table to store toys. With this assistance, she started a small toy business. The toys could be displayed properly to customers, there was space for them to sit, and sales increased. This gave her financial stability and helped her meet household expenses. Today, Manisha is confidently running her own business and is an inspiration to other women.
